1. How to open an account to trade US stocks?
In order to comply with the requirements of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), clients who wish to trade US Stock must complete the "Update of Client's Information form" and a W-8BEN (Non-US Citizenship Disclosure) or W-9 (US Citizenship Disclosure) form. The original forms must be submitted to the company in person or by post. The company will open the market for the client within three working days after receiving the forms.

3. What are the trading hours for US stocks? When to place an order?
US stock exchange accepts online orders between 19:00 (Hong Kong time) and the closing time.
Orders of US stocks may be placed by calling in advance during the trading hours of Hong Kong stocks.
4. Can a US stock be bought and then sold on the same trading day?
There is no board lot size for US Stocks. In each transaction, clients shall trade one share at least. Clients may place a selling order immediately after the buying order is executed.
5. What is the stock quantity limit of each order? What is the price limit? What is the amount limit?
The minimum number is 1 share and the maximum number is 10,000,000 shares for each order. If an order trades more than 9,999 shares, the upper limit is "10% of 30-day average trading volume". For example, if the 30-day average trading volume of the stock is 300,000 shares, then 30,000 shares (10% of 300,000 shares) can be placed for each order at most. If an order is placed for 30,001 shares or more, it shall be rejected. In this case, the client shall decrease the stock numbers and place an order again.
Each order price shall be "within 5% of prevalent best buying or selling price". If an order price is beyond the range, it shall be rejected. In this case, the client shall change the order price and place an order again.
The amount of each order shall not be more than 2,000,000 USD.
6. Can I trade US stocks when I have other currencies like HKD instead of sufficient USD in my account?
Yes. The Company shall convert other currencies to US dollar for settlement at the settlement day (T+2). The exchange rate is subject to prevalent rate that provided by the bank at the time of conversion.

Clients trade UK stocks via Guotai Junan Securities (Hong Kong) at an order price and a settlement price in pounds. The basic unit for trading is one share instead of one lot. The order price shall not be more than or less than the market price by 20%, otherwise it will be rejected. Stocks can be bought and then sold on the same trading day. Clients may place a selling order immediately after the buying order is executed.
# As UK stocks are quoted in pence (1 pound = 100 pence), clients need to convert stock prices to pounds when placing an order. For example: The market price of HSBA, a UK stock, is 509.5 pence, which shall be converted to pounds by the client as follows: 509.5 / 100 =5.095 pounds, which is the order price.

Since Vietnam Stocks do not allow day trading, clients are not allowed to sell stocks that are bought on the same trading day, the stocks can be sold 3 trading days after they were bought (T+3).
For example, clients buy a stock on Monday, the stock can be sold on Thursday. For stocks selling, the fund is also available to use on T+3.
7. Which currency is used to trade Vietnam Stocks?
Vietnamese Dong (VND).
8. Can clients trade Vietnam Stocks when they have other currencies like HKD instead of sufficient VND in their account?
No. Clients must have sufficient VND in their account before trading Vietnam Stocks. Clients can contact Relationship Manager to place currency conversion instruction, and trade Vietnam Stocks after the currency conversion instruction has been completed.
9. How the VND will be handled after clients sell the stocks?
The fund from stocks selling will be kept as VND on clients' account and available for trading. If clients need to convert the VND to HKD or USD, please contact Relationship Manager to place currency conversion instruction.
